Profile

Kassey is a dedicated counselling associate whose practice is grounded in a deep, decade-long immersion within Singapore's youth landscape. This experience informs her specialised, systemic approach to youth mental health, parent-child relationships, and family dynamics. She supports clients from pre-teens to adults navigating challenges such as achievement anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity (including ADHD and ASD) by integrating a suite of evidence-based modalities. Her toolkit includes Motivational Interviewing (MI) to build collaborative motivation for change, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to reshape unhelpful thought patterns, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to enhance relational dynamics, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster psychological flexibility. Her perspective is fundamentally guided by Family Systems Theory, ensuring individual concerns are understood within their broader relational context.

Currently advancing her clinical expertise in the Master of Clinical Mental Health and Psychotherapy programme at the National University of Singapore, Kassey complements her formal training with a naturally relatable and grounded presence. She cultivates a therapeutic space defined by safety and respect, where clients feel truly heard and empowered. She provides a calm harbour for emotional storms, from which one can gain the clarity needed to navigate toward better choices and genuine, lasting growth. By skilfully blending her clinical knowledge with this empathetic, person-centred approach, Kassey works with clients to address individual challenges and, where appropriate, help transform family interactions into resilient sources of support and healthier communication.

Kassey practices under the supervision of [Dr. Jared Tan, PsyD] as part of her commitment to professional excellence.
