When you host a livestream, you enjoy the freedom to say what you like with no restraint. Sometimes, when it’s about a sensitive topic, or about something close to their hearts, livestreamers can have the space to express themselves.

Secondly, by sharing on these platforms, the viewers also acknowledge and empathise with the livestreamers’ situations, and there is resonance with the livestreamer.

In general, young people will come together, and advocate for issues close to their hearts. For instance, it may be about mental health, or family disputes, social issues, climate change, animal issues, etc. So when they gather online to discuss these issues, they will feel more energised and motivated about their beliefs. This movement can lead to change in society.
