[P]arenting expert Chong Ee Jay urges parents not to panic about a little extra time spent online, but to focus on the quality of the children's screen time instead.
Playing a popular online game like Brawl Stars together gives parents insights into the child's world beyond parenting concerns like academics and discipline, says the family life specialist at Focus on the Family Singapore.
"I encourage parents to see the game or media site as a platform for connecting and conversing with their children," says Mr Chong.
